Celtic have completed the loan signing of Gustavo Ruelas, with a view to a permanent deal, according to his club in Mexico Santos Laguna.
Ruelas is currently travelling to Glasgow to complete a medical and finalise the deal, and will join fellow Mexican Efrain Juarez at Parkhead.
“I’m very happy, I am a little rushed with the news as overnight I have been told I am going to another club,” Ruelas said.
“Juarez is a good person and he is aware of everything and fortunately he speaks English.”
Ruelas previously played for MLS side Chivas United.
