Coventry City have sacked their manager Chris Coleman following the clubs dismal performance in Championship this season after finishing 19th.
Coleman has been at the clun since February 2008 and helped the club survive relegation last season however an 11 game run without victory has spelt the end for the manager.
The clubs board made the decision at a meeting late last night and informed staff and players this morning.Sky Blues Chairman spoke of his relationship with Coleman in the wake of his departure; “I enjoyed a very close working relationship with Chris and it’s been a pleasure to work with him since his arrival.”
Coventry City suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Watford at the weekend.
