Ajax midfielder and Netherlands under-23 international Evander Sno has been rushed to hospital.

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Babel revealed on his twitter page that Sno had suffered a heart-attack.

“Just heard some terrible news,” Babel said, “A very good friend, former Celtic player Evander Sno had a heart attack in a game with the reserves of Ajax [against Vittese Arnhem]. He is in the hospital now.”

“His eyes are open again and he could talk,” Babel added later, “Makes you think about life.”

Sno played for Celtic for two seasons, between 2006 and 2008, before signing a three year contract with Ajax.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan with Bristol City, with whom he made 24 league appearances.
