Ex-HMV workers take to Twitter to vent… on HMV’s Twitter account

If you’re high up in some sort of corporation and you decided to fire your HR department, do yourself a favour and change your social media passwords… before it’s too late.

It looks like someone may have used the UK HMV Twitter account to vent about recently being fired from the failing music store. Twitter user, @weeclaire was one of the many twitter users who screen-grabbed the offending tweets before they were quickly deleted from the account. You can see them below.

@weeclaire tweeted, “The #HMV HR Twitter rebellion continues… read before the tweets get deleted!”

But that’s not all. Twitter user @adamjld also managed to screen grab a few more rouge tweets before they too were taken down. In fact, if you go to the official HMV Twitter page @hmvtweets, the last recorded Tweet was on January 14.

The hashtag being used by the disgruntled employee(s) was #hmvXFactorFiring and according to the tweets in question, 60 staff were being fired at once – hence the Twitter onslaught.

This one is going to have a strong aftertaste for the troubled company…
