Former Leinster hooker Brian Blaney has been targeted by London Irish as back-up for the forthcoming season.
The Exiles need to replace South Africa international Danie Coetzee who is returning to his family home in the Transvaal.
The 28-year-old has played and operated as a strength and conditioning coach for Terenure College throughout last season.
Blaney, a former Ireland ‘A’ forward, made 71 appearances for Leinster before being released by the club last summer.
