Facebook has finally unrolled its new profile design called Timeline and it’s ready to use right now.

If you haven’t already got the new look profile and want to then simply log into Facebook and follow the instructions. If the walk through instructions don’t pop up for you then don’t worry. Simply type Timeline into the Facebook search box and an ‘Introducing Timeline’ result should pop up. Click it and follow the steps. Now you have Timeline.

But what is it? Well Timeline shows users their posts and activity from when they first used Facebook to today. However, according to Silicon Republic, this is only viewable to the Facebook account holder and lets them manage their posts.

The service lets users make certain events the feature of their profile, letting them get a better scope of what happened at that said event.

Timeline was initially rolled out in New Zealand earlier this month – think of them as the guinea pigs – but it was blocked from rolling out worldwide after online historical scrapbook site, Timelines.com, sued the social network.

If you choose to use the Timeline feature, you’ll have seven days to review what’s on your page before anyone else can see it. You can publish the feature whenever you want during the several days but after the week is up you’re stuck with what you have.

Check out the video below for more on the new feature:
