Pierrick Fedrigo was victorious in the 16th stage of the Tour de France after a sprint finish in Bagnères-de-Luchon Pau.
Fedrigo outsprinted eight other riders in the leading pack that included Lance Armstrong and runner-up Sandy Casar.
Overall Leader Alberto Contador and challenger Andy Schleck finished together nearly six minutes behind Fedrigo.
Contador retains an eight second advantage over Schleck with only four stages to go.
Irishman Nicolas Roche finished 13th in the stage, and is currently 18th in the overall standings.
