Aer Lingus has been forced to cancel a number of its flights to the UK due to the crappy weather that our neighbours are having.
We might be experiencing milder weather over here in Ireland, but we’re still felling the knock on effects from the poor weather over in the UK. Heavy snow has forced a number of flights to and from Heathrow and Gatwick to be cancelled.
Passengers flying out of Dublin, Shannon and Cork will be affected. If you are travelling with Aer Lingus, flying from any of the main Irish airports, then you’re best bet is to check out the Aer Lingus website here to see if your flight is still going ahead.
Heathrow Airport has already announced that a third of its flights will be grounded tomorrow.
It’s all thanks to the freezing cold weather that’s pushed across from the east. It has claimed the lives of 260 people throughout Europe and it’s some of the coldest weather ever experienced on the continent.
In the Ukraine alone, 122 people have died and temperatures have plummeted to as low as -38.1C.
