Forget snakes on a plane… praying on a plane is just as dangerous

For some, flying is a scary business and in times of distress it’s not uncommon to see people turning to their God for a little reassurance. It is a little uncommon, however, to have military fighter jets called to escort a massive passenger plane because someone is having a chat with The Big Fella up stairs.

That’s exactly what happened recently to United Airlines flight 662 after cabin crew declared an emergency on board. Okay, so randomly praying in the middle of an aisle on an American airplane probably isn’t a smart move, but still…

A United Airlines spokeswoman said the passenger in question was not following flight attendant instructions for landing, so they called for back up just in case anything went down.

The one bit of good news from this story is that the plane landed safely and 13 minutes ahead of time. So if you’re in the skies and you’re running late, just pray that you get there faster… you probably will.
