Galway’s injury crisis appears to be easing after a number of players considered doubtful for Saturday’s Leinster SHC quarter-final clash against Wexford trained last night.

All-Star corner back Ollie Canning, Donal Barry, Ger Farragher, Niall Healy, Conor Dervan and Richie Cummins took part in the run-out in Athenry last night and are now up for selection.

Joe Canning, brother of Ollie, said he expects his elder sibling to take part in the crucial Wexford game.

“He is doing okay, he trained last night, it is supposed to be that the swelling didn’t come up again, and if it didn’t then hopefully he will back. He did the whole session,” he said.

“Most of the guys are coming back to full fitness, it is still only Wednesday so there are a few more days,” the 21-year-old added.
