Pop superstar George Michael has been sentenced to eight weeks in prison for crashing his car while under the influence of cannabis.
The 47-year-old admitted crashing his Range Rover into a shop front in July in Hampstead, north London, at London’s Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today.
The singer was found slumped at the wheel of his car in the early hours of 4 July having crashed it into a branch of photographic store Snappy Snaps and was subsequently arrested.
Last month, he was handed a six-month interim driving ban after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of drugs and possessing cannabis.
