Tyrone welcome back experienced defender Conor Gormley while captain Ambrose Rogers is fit to take his place in the Down side for Saturday evening’s Ulster semi-final clash.

Gormley slots in at centre back in place of Ryan McMenamin, who is ruled out by a hamstring injury.

The only two changes in Mickey Harte’s team are in the half-back line, where Philip Jordan is the sole survivor from the victory over Antrim. Davy Harte also misses out through injury – he is replaced by his cousin Peter Harte.

Rogers, who captained Down to the National Football League Division 2 final in the spring but failed to start that game because of a foot injury, returns at midfield having recovered from the problem.

One of two changes in personnel to the starting line-up, Rogers will partner Kalum King at centre-field with Dan Gordon switching to full forward, where John Clarke misses out.

Paul McComiskey is also omitted in favour of Conor Maginn, who made an impression off the bench against Donegal last time out. Both Dan McCartan and Ronan Sexton are suspended.

Tyrone (v Down): P McConnell; M Swift, Justin McMahon, D Carlin; P Harte, C Gormley, P Jordan; C Cavanagh, K Hughes; B Dooher, S Cavanagh, Joe McMahon; M Penrose, S O’Neill, O Mulligan.

Down (v Tyrone): B McVeigh; D Rooney, B McArdle, D Rafferty; K McKernan, J Colgan, C Garvey; A Rogers, K King; D Hughes, M Poland, B Coulter; C Maginn, D Gordon, M Clarke.
