Top Irish comedian and chat show host Graham Norton had his car stolen last night, but he’ll have it back before long if Twitter has anything to do with it.
The eccentric Cork native revealed to listeners of his BBC Radio 2 show this morning that his car – a black Lexus – was stolen across the pond last night.
There’s no need for vigilante-style justice for the former Father Ted star, however, as Twitter is on the case.

A tweet from the official BBC2 Radio page (see above) alerted the Twitterverse to Graham’s problem and before long, the hashtag #findgrahamscar spread across the social network, urging anyone with any information to contact the police so that the car could be quickly returned to its rightful owner.
Norton thanked his followers for their efforts as the campaign began to gain momentum, saying:

The campaign is just a demonstration of the power of Twitter and the influence it can wield, especially if you happen to be a big-time celebrity with thousands upon thousands of followers.
In any case, by the end of his show, Graham seemed to have tired of the whole episode, joking to his listeners that he was bored and that if they found the car they could keep it.
So, anyone who happens to come across said Lexus with the license listed above, it’s all yours.
