Padraig Harrington has dropped out of contention for honours following a disappointing second round at the St Jude Classic on the PGA Tour.
Harrington lay just two strokes off the lead after a blemish-free opening round of 65 on Thursday.
However, his challenge proved short-lived, with the three-time Major winner posting two Par 3 double-bogeys in a second round 74 to fall back to one under par for the tournament.
The day had started with promise, with Harrington birdieing the third hole to momentarily move to six under.
Overnight leader Lee Westwood recovered from a slow start to post a 68 and retain the lead alongside early clubhouse leader Charley Hoffman.
In contrast to that pair’s problems, Rory McIlroy posted a four under par second round 66 to lie alongside Westwood on six under.
