FIAT Group Automobiles has released the first official teaser photos of their all-new FIAT Viaggio and we have to say, so far so good.
The photos of the new Viaggio leave a fair bit to the imagination. So if we were to compare what we have it to any other model of car we’d say it looks a bit like the Opel Insignia or the new Renault Fluence. Then again, it could end up looking completely different, but that’s the problem with teaser shots.
What we definitely do know about the Viaggio is that the four-door saloon will be built on FIAT Group’s newest and most advanced architecture, the CUSW (Compact US Wide) platform, which is derived from the best-selling Alfa Romeo Giulietta’s underpinnings.

Looking pretty good so far…
The new Viaggio, which means “Voyage” in Italian, will debut at the Beijing International Auto Show on April 23rd 2012. The car is expected to go on sale in China in the third quarter of 2012 so judging by industry standards the Viaggio should hopefully come to Ireland for 2013. Hopefully being the key word.
The car is currently being produced in the new GAC-FIAT World Class Manufacturing plant in Changsha, Hunan province, China and word on the cyber street is that there may even be a hatch back version on the cards as well.
We’ll just have to wait until 2013 to see. Oh the suspense!
