After joining AC Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic revealed how fractious his relationship with Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola had become.
Ibrahimovic completed his loan move to AC Milan, and used a press conference to slam his former manager Pep Guardiola.
“When I walk into a room, Guardiola will walk out,” Ibrahimovic said, ”I don’t know if he is scared of me.
“He is the philosopher who has broken my dream of being at Barcelona. The coach did not want me and I will not waste any more time.â€
“I want to retrieve my love of football with another team. I leave with more motivation and the strength to do better. In football, things can change within 24 hours.”
“You need to talk to him, it is he who has the problem, and I do not know what it is. I am very happy, because I am going to Milan.”
AC Milan can make the move permanent at the end of the season by paying Barcelona €24 million, an astonishing loss considering he joined the Catalan club for €94 million only last season.
Ibrahimovic scored 21 goals in 41 games for Barcelona.
