Here we have a cool little infographic that takes a look at how energy efficient buildings work and where the most energy is lost in our homes.
Did you know that around 50 to 60 per cent of your homes energy can be lost through the walls alone? Apparently, a further 25 per cent can be lost though the roof. Sounds like a good reason to insulate…
The new infographic from Spaceway.co.uk, the ‘integrated interior space solution’ experts, also takes a look at a few eco friendly buildings too.
Some of the ‘better built’ eco friendly buildings located around the world include the Okhta Tower in St. Petersburg, the Fusionopolis in Singapore and the StatoilHydro HQ in Oslo. We wonder where the Dáil sits on the eco friendly list, seeing as it seems to expel hot gas at an alarming rate.
The graph then takes a look at some energy efficient building solutions, such as using sustainable timber, recycled carpet, incandescent lighting, all-round water efficiency and the recycling of waste.
Spaceway published the infographic and it is available over on Visual.ly.
