Introducing the JOE.ie & Her.ie AIB Start-up Academy Wildcard search

Everyone deserves a second chance...

JOE

Ten successful candidates have already been chosen for the AIB Start-up Academy, but the selection process isn’t over yet.

At JOE.ie and our sister site Her.ie, we believe everyone deserves a second chance (even Brendan Rodgers, we’re just that nice) and so we’ve teamed up with AIB to give nine Irish start-ups a second opportunity to make it into the AIB Start-up Academy in association with The Irish Times.

Recently, twenty shortlisted Irish start-ups were given the chance to pitch their business ideas to a panel of six judges at The Irish Times building and ten worthy businesses where chosen as finalists for the upcoming academy.

You can find out more about the ten successful finalists over here.

Unfortunately, that means ten start-ups didn’t quite see it through to the next round, but all hope is not lost. All ten of those unsuccessful start-ups were given the opportunity to enter the next phase of the competition: the JOE.ie & Her.ie AIB Start-up Academy Wildcard, as chosen by our readers.

JOE.ie & Her.ie readers (yes, you!) will have the chance to have your say as to who you think deserves a spot in this life changing AIB Start-up Academy out of the nine start-ups that have agreed to take part in the Wildcard process.

That’s right, we’re giving you the power to choose the winning Wildcard!

We will be posting a poll here on JOE.ie and Her.ie later today where readers can select their favourite start-up from the list of nine Wildcards and voting will conclude on Friday, December 12th at 6pm.

The winner of the JOE.ie & Her.ie AIB Start-up Academy Wildcard will be announced on Monday 15th of December and will then take part in the academy when it kicks off in January 2015.

So, keep an eye out for the poll and be sure to share it with all your friends to help your chosen start-up become our AIB Start-up Academy Wildcard.
