Russell Brand, as we know, recently split with wife Katy Perry, but now it looks like he’s chasing her doppelgänger.
The English comedian filed for divorce from the ‘I Kissed a Girl’ singer back in December. He’s now, according to various sources, after the ‘New Girl’ actress Zooey Deschanel. If you’re not familiar with Ms Deschanel, then have a look at her here:
She’s not half bad but she does look like someone. Who though?
Brand has been sending ‘flirty texts’ to the ‘New Girl’ star and he has apparently told friends that he thinks the two would make a perfect couple. An ‘insider’ told OK magazine: “Russell has had his eye on Zooey for a long time. And he’s been sending funny, flirty texts to see if they can get together.
“He thinks she’s hysterically funny and cute, too. He loves her quirky sense of humour, and thinks they’d be great together both on-and off-screen. There’s a real spark there.”
That’s all well and good, but this Zooey Deschanel young one looks an awful lot like Katy Perry so we think poor Russell just wants what he cant have and if he can’t have it, he’ll just get the next best thing.
Ah well, fair play to him. She’s not half bad.
