Ivana Bacik’s political pop chart

Labour Senator Ivana Bacik talks to JOE about wanting to spy on Barack Obama, and her love of Sex and the City.

JOE

Ivana Bacik is the Reid Professor of Criminal Law, Criminology and Penology at Trinity College Dublin. When not busy sharing her knowledge of the bad things people get up to with students, academics and the world beyond academia, she represents Dublin University in the Seanad.

We sent Senator Bacik our quick questionnaire, and the Labour senator responded with the following answers…

Do you use a Mac or a PC? A PC.

What kind of mobile phone do you use? Blackberry.

What type of car do you drive? I don’t have a car but I sometimes drive my partner’s Audi.

Who are better drivers, men or women? Women of course!

Any sporting glories you like to brag about? My time in secondary school as a sub for the Minor F netball team – stunning achievement.

Most famous contact in your phone (politicians don’t count)? No famous contacts except politicians!

Whose office would you like to be a fly on the wall of? Barack Obama’s.

What’s the most politically incorrect thing about you? I really enjoyed Sex And The City 2.

Finish the sentence, people are uninspired by politicians because . . . Fianna Fail have run the country for far too long and made everybody very cynical about politics. It’s time for a change!
