This weekend you can embrace the third instalment of the classic Men in Black series or you can get your future war fighter on with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
Guess who’s back… It’s the Men in Black
This weekend sees the cinema release of one of the most anticipated movies of the year as Will Smith’s character Agent J returns to the 1960’s to stop an alien from assassinating his friend Agent K and changing history.
It’s a movie that will no doubt bring some of you back to your childhoods (the original came out in 1997 – 15 years ago). Check out what JOE’s Emmet Purcell thought of the flick over here.
Chronicle comes to a DVD near you
The hit movie Chronicle finally gets released to DVD this weekend and if you haven’t already seen it, we suggest you should. Have a read of what Emmet Purcell thought after its cinematic release here.
If you’ve never heard of Chronicle, it basically follows three high school students who make an incredible discovery, leading to them developing uncanny powers beyond their understanding. As they learn to control their abilities and use them to their advantage, their lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over.
It’s an edge of your seat type of flick.

Get your future war fighter on with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is the latest edition of the Ghost Recon series and it sees you battling it out with terrorists in the not too distant future. In Future Soldier, a dirty bomb takes out a Ghost team, and another Ghost team (your one) is tasked with tracking down the source of the dirty bomb. You fight all over the world including places like Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia and Norway.
If you’re into Battlefield and Call of Duty, then you’ll love this.
Head along to the Fastnet film festival in Schull Co. Cork
