JOE is further assisting the Irish public in its bid to keep iPods fresh by bringing five essential tracks for dance music fans every week. Here is the first installment.

JOE has decided to further assist the Irish public in its never ending battle to keep iPods fresh. Every week, we will be highlighting five essential dance tracks. Climb into your dancing shoes – here is the first installment.

Magnetic Man is an electronic music project consisting of dub-step heavyweight trio Skream, Benga and Artwork. I Need Air was their first single on the Columbia Records label to which they signed in February 2010.

I Blame Coco, Quicker

Coco Sumner, real name Eliot Pauline Sumner, was born in Pisa, Italy. The English musician and former actress/model is currently recording under the band name I Blame Coco. She is further notable for being the daughter of noneother than Sting and actress/producer Trudie Styler. Quicker is the third single from her debut album The Constant which will be available in October.

Tinashe, Saved

Tinashé is a British singer-songwriter born in Zimbabwe. He has become something of an internet sensation known for his synth-pop sound fused with his African influences. Saved is the second single and namesake of his forthcoming debut album.

Breakbot – Baby I’m Yours (Aeroplane Remix)

Breakbot, aka Thibaut Berland, is a French producer and DJ. Baby I’m Yours, featuring Christopher Irfane from the Parisian electro group Outlines, is a beautiful slice of Balearic Disco. It has been re-released with Aeroplane on remix duties giving it a more synth-heavy overhaul.

The Count & Sinden featuring Mystery Jets, After Dark Download here.

The Count and Sinden is a UK club/house duo from London formed in 2008. It is made up of Joshua ‘Hervé’ Harvey (The Count) and Sinden. After Dark, which also features indie favourites The Mystery Jets, is the latest offering from their debut album Mega Mega Mega, released on 23 August 2010.

JOE’s Dance Downloads is compiled by veteran Irish DJ, Craig G. The Dubliner has performed sets in numerous clubs during the course of his 18-year career including The Dragon Nightclub in Dublin and The Vic Nightclub in Galway. His mixes, meanwhile, have been featured on 2fm. Craig G has been working with Rampage School of Dance for the past eight years, putting scores for their live performances. Their last collaboration enjoyed a sold-out run at The Mermaid Arts Theatre.
