Cavan’s football qualifier against Cork has been made even more difficult for them with the news that forward Seanie Johnston is likely to miss the match.
Johnston didn’t start their match against Wicklow last week because of injury, but was instrumental in their second half comback after coming off the bench.
He scored six points as a 13 man Cavan overturned a seven point half time difference to win 0-15 to 2-8 at Cavan’s Breffni Park.
Cavan manager Tommy Carr, however, has rated his chance of playing against the Rebels on 10 July as “very unlikely†after he aggravated his ankle injury.
Throw-in will be 3pm in Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
