The Galway senior football championship semi-final replay between Killererin and Mountbellew/Moylough has been put back a week because it clashes with Padraic Joyce’s stag weekend.
The sides drew on a scoreline of 0-10 – 1-7 on Sunday and the replay had been provisionally fixed for this Saturday, but the Killererin club had written to the Galway County Board earlier in the year to request that this coming weekend be kept free of all club fixtures because inter-county star Joyce and a number of his team-mates would be out of the country on his stag weekend.
The Galway County Board have agreed to reschedule the game for the weekend after next. As a result, the county final, originally fixed for 3 October, may be put back. Corofin await the winners of the Killererin Mountbellew/Moylough clash in the final after defeating Barna this weekend.
