Tipperary 2-06 Kerry 2-18
All-Ireland champions Kerry survived a late scare against Tipperary before running home comfortable winners in the Munster SFC today.
Few predicted an upset although thanks in part to a stunning individual goal from Tip’s Philip Austin, the two sides were level for much of the first half and went 0-8 to 1-4 at the break.
However, the second half was a different story and the Semple Stadium crowd got to see a master class in passing football as the Kingdom kicked up a gear.
Bryan Sheehan scored two goals while Colm Cooper played a key role up front to send Kerry in the Munster semi-final clash against Cork.
