German forward Miroslav Klose has hinted that he may be ready to retire from international football.
Klose, who has scored two goals in the World Cup so far, is only three goals behind Ronaldo’s all-time World Cup record of 15.
“As long as my legs carry me I will play football,” the 32 year old told a news conference, “but I’m very spontaneous. I would not put it past me in two or three weeks to step aside and give space to new players.”
Klose had a poor season for Bayern Munich, scoring only three goals, but has been instrumental to his national team’s good form at the World Cup.
