“There’s only one Luis Suárez!” – not any more it seems…
Forget about trying to find the new Maradona, the new Messi or the new McShane; we’ve just found the new Luis Suárez. Well, not JOE per se, but Al Arabia TV has.
According to The Independent, one Liverpool fan from Iraq has become a minor celebrity due to the fact that he looks exactly like the famous Uruguayan striker. We’re not sure how good he actually is at football but we hear he’s already Baghdad a lot of goals for his Sunday league team. Wahey!
The Iraqi fan, who has even had his picture taken with Liverpool’s other goal-machine Daniel Sturridge, was caught on camera as he watched Liverpool’s recent 5-1 arse-whomping victory against Arsenal, and revealed to Al Arabia TV that he is regularly mistaken for this season’s stand-out player in the Premier League.
