According to reports in most of the papers this morning, Lady Gaga made a monstrous gaffe during her Dublin concert telling fans she was happy to be back in the UK. Or did she?
On Saturday night, Lady Gaga played a sell out gig in the Aviva stadium to 40,000 of her Irish fans. However, the majority of Gaga-related tweets on Twitter since then claim the ‘Born This Way’ star got up on stage and said, “I’m so happy to be back in the UK”. Not a smart move if you’re actually in the Ireland (eight hundred years… and all that).
Even the Lady Gaga fan blog ‘Haus Of Gaga’ states in the show’s highlights: ‘Lady Gaga told fans that she was “Delighted to be back in the United Kingdom”’.
However, according to @DaveFitz58 over on Twitter, ‘referencing an audience member she said “I love these guys, they’ve followed me around the UK”’…

Okay, so if she didn’t say it directly she still said it in a roundabout way.
In fairness, we shouldn’t give her too much flak over the gaffe, as we all know some Americans aren’t great with geography. Remember Miss Teen USA from South Carolina?
Case and point.
