Aston Villa manager Martin O’Neill has revealed that a football club, believed to be Liverpool, have made a bid for full-back Luke Young.
O’Neill said on Aston Villa’s website, “There has been an offer from a football club, which Luke is mulling over.” The bid is said to be in the region of £3 million.
Liverpool are desperately short of left-backs following the departures of Emiliano Insua and Fabio Aurelio. Young, who has seven caps for England, normally plays on the right, but can play in the centre or the left side of defence.
