Pop twins Jedward, who made their name by losing X-Factor, are set to kick off a musical about their rise to fame next year. It might even end up on the West-End.

Reality TV stars Jedward have announced that they are to play themselves in a new musical set for next year simply called ‘Jedward: The Musical’. According to reports the pair look set to rake in €200,000 each from the first set of shows, but that could rocket upwards if the musical is taken to the West End. We’re sure theatre buffs will be glad to hear that.

That’s on top of the €150,000 they’ll make from 36 performances of ‘Jedward and the Beanstalk’ this panto season.

“Pantos are just for Christmas but this is a stage show starring Jedward which would be embraced by existing fans and yet tell their story to a new audience,” Stuart O’Connor of Spotlight Productions told the Irish Independent.

We’re not sure what exactly the show is going to entail or how long it’s going to be (they were on X-Factor and lost, then they were on the Eurovision and lost… twice), but we have a feeling it’s going to be one seriously hyper performance. Still, there’s a nice bit of money in it for them.
