Bundesliga club Wolfsburg have completed the signing of Danish defender Simon Kjaer from Italian side Palermo.
The 23 year old has signed a four year contract with Steve McLaren’s side, a week after they completed the signing of German international defender Arne Friedrich from Hertha Berlin.
Kjaer, who had been a target of a number of Premier League sides including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, said that the move “offers him the chance to play with a top clubâ€. “I feel this is the right step for me now,†he added.
