Sunderland have confirmed the signing of Manchester United forward Danny Wellbeck on a season long loan deal.
Wellbeck, 19, has made 14 senior appearances for the Red Devils, scoring five goals, and is highly rated by Sir Alex Ferguson.
Wellbeck is Sunderland manager Steve Bruce’s eighth signing of the summer and will be available for the Black Cats’ Premier League opener against Birmingham this weekend.
