Mannion had missed the majority of the National Football League campaign but is named at midfield in Fergal O’Donnell’s side.

In addition, corner back Stephen Ormsby – another member of that 2006 side – starts his first senior championship game at corner back.

The Rossies are without several members of the senior panel currently out through injury, including Enda Kenny, Senan Kilbride and David O’Gara while David Casey is named on the bench after making his return in a recent challenge match against Dublin.
