Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo has gone public on Arsenal’s interest in bringing him to the Emirates.

Melo, currently playing with Juventus, said he was aware that Wenger would be interested in securing his signature, especially if Fabregas confirms his decision to switch to Barcelona.

Melo was believed to have been an Arsenal target around the time of his decision to move from Fiorentina to his current club.

However, things have not gone well for the 26-year-old since his move to Turin and he is beloved to be more open to the idea of a move to the Premier League.

“Juventus’ season was negative and didn’t go as well as expected, but my performances were good,” he said.

Melo continued, “I have heard about the interest of Arsenal, once again, but there is nothing concrete. The only certainty is that I still have a four-year contract with Juventus and Juventus fans have a great affection for me, so I want to win a title for them.”

Juventus paid €25 million for Melo, but Arsenal would be expected to sign him for considerably less.
