Jose Mourinho would be the perfect fit to be the new coach of Real Madrid, according to club president Florentino Perez.
Madrid sacked Manuel Pellegrini on Wednesday evening and Mourinho is expected to be unveiled as new boss at the Bernabeu without much delay.
The Portuguese, who lifted the Champions League trophy for the second time last weekend, has already revealed that he is close to taking charge.
Perhaps the only stumbling block is Mourinho’s perceived cautious style of play but Perez has no worries.
“The board has decided to hire Jose Mourinho as the new Real Madrid coach as soon as he ends his contract with Inter Milan,” he said.
“Mourinho’s style of play will fit with the history of Madrid. To win, the values, the spirit of sacrifice, it will fit perfectly.â€
