Anthony Moyles may be included in the Meath starting team to cure manager Eamon O’Brien’s defensive headaches for the Leinster SFC opener against Offaly on Sunday.

The 2007 Royals captain is in line to take up a role in defence to provide cover for the injured Kevin Reilly (hamstring) and Cormac McGuinness (hamstring), who are both likely to miss out on the start of the championship campaign in Portlaoise.

Meanwhile, their opponents Offaly have only one player sidelined. David Egan is continuing his recovery from a broken bone in his foot and is highly unlikely to make the starting team.
