Did you throw away your ticket for Saturday night’s Lotto Plus 2 draw? Well there was an error made that might see you winning a few quid.
According to reports, the number ‘9’ ball was called out as a number ‘6’ ball, but the lads in the National Lottery HQ say it was all down to a number misprint on the number ‘9’ ball.
“Each ball number is printed twelve times on the draw balls. One of the numbers printed on the number ‘9’ ball was incorrectly underlined as ‘6’”, reports RTÉ.
So what’s going to happen now to those who won thanks to the cock-up and to those who lost out? Well the Lottery are going to take the hit on this one and pay out both winning combinations.
So if you had 3, 9, 23, 39, 40, 42 Bonus 10 then you can collect your winnings the usual way, but if your ticket from Saturday’s draw contains a combination which would have won with the number 6, then simply sign the back of your ticket and post it, with your name, address and telephone number to: “Lotto Plus 2, National Lottery, Abbey Street Lower, Dublin 1.”
The lads at the lotto will verify your ticket AND refund you the cost of postage. So you better check the back of the sofa before your missus does.
