New ‘How I Met Your Mother’ features a well-stocked Irish-themed pantry

The latest episode of How I Met Your Mother would have brought any ex-pats over in the US a little slice of home on Monday night, thanks to this Irish-themed pantry.

There must be someone from Ireland working on the crew of How I Met Your Mother, or else they just have really lazy researchers who decided on the first pantry picture they could find.

The pic features everything that you’d find in any good Irish mammy’s pantry including loads of Siúcra, Bachelors Baked Beans, John West Tuna, Dolmio pasta sauce, Bisto, Chivers Jam, Smith’s Scampi Fries and even Saxo salt.

Like we said, we’re not too sure if they used the picture intentionally, but still, it’s good to see the more Irish products getting a bit of coverage state side.

In the episode titled “Bad Crazy”, Ted’s missus locks herself in his bedroom, but Barney and Marshal tell him that she can’t stay in there forever. That’s when Ted reveals that he stocked up on food supplies weeks earlier before an incoming storm hit NY. Hence the stock photo of the stocked pantry. Now, all that talk about food has us in the mood for a nice baguette (a How I Met Your Mother style baguette, that is)… Anyone else?
