Celtic are in negotiations with on-loan midfielder Landry NGuemo over a permanent move to the Glasgow club this summer.

Cameroon international, NGuemo, is contracted to Nancy and it will take in the region of €1.8 million to secure the 24-year-old’s signature.

The temporary transfer expires on 31 May and it is hoped that NGuemo and Nancy will agree terms with Celtic before he departs for the World Cup in South Africa. Celtic do have a first-option to buy the midfielder.

NGuemo has made Celtic his and is confident of remaining at Parkhead next season.

“I’ve really settled into life in Scotland and I hope I haven’t played my last game for Celtic.

“I want to be here again next season and while there have been some discussions, it hasn’t yet been sorted out. I want to play in Scotland and I want to play for Celtic.

“There are other options but the clearest thing for me would be to settle things with Celtic before the World Cup.

“I don’t know when the Cameroon squad meets up or even if I’m in it yet but if I am then I would,” said NGuemo.
