It looks like lucky Japanese gamers will get their hands on Nintendo’s latest handheld marvel, the 3DS, much earlier than anyone had expected.
November 20 is the date when the 3D-capable portable gaming machine will go on sale in Japan according to an employee from accessories company Key Factory, who have been pumping out peripherals for previous Nintendo consoles for years.
The unnamed accessory designer tweeted: “On November 20th, the 11 goods I designed for use with the 3DS will go on sale simultaneously. Those of you buying the 3DS, please buy them while you’re at it! This will be officially announced on the homepage eventually, lol. Best regards.”
The tweet and possibly the account have since been deleted but that wasn’t before some quick thinking chap downloaded a copy of the page which you can see below.

Nintendo have yet to validate this information and given their track record are not likely to. The games company has said that the machine will launch in all territories before the end of their financial year on March 31 2011. Nintendo also stated that they will be releasing more information on their launch plans and the price of the 3DS in a press conference scheduled for September 29.
The 3DS came out of nowhere earlier this year and has become the most anticipated piece of gaming hardware since the Playstation 3. The console is an evolution of Nintendo’s all-conquering DS range and sports a screen that delivers true 3D images without the need for glasses.
