Finnish mobile giants Nokia have set down the gauntlet to their market rivals by unveiling three new smartphones at the Nokia World conference and stating their desire to reclaim dominance over their increasingly competitive rivals.
“Today, our fightback to smartphone leadership shifts into high gear,” stated Niklas Savander, head of Nokia markets unit.
Re-affirming their confidence in taking part their market, the company introduced three new phones – the E7, a new model of the existing C6 and the C7. The Nokia E7 (pictured above) is the crown jewel in Nokia’s range, and clearly aimed at business users.
The E7 is expected to retail for €495 and offers a 4-inch 640×460 touchscreen, sliding QWERTY keyboard and an 8MP camera that is capable of recording 720p video.
The C6 has a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen and 340MB of internal user memory. The C7 has a 3.5-inch AMOLED screen and 350MB of internal memory and 8GB of storage memory. Both the C6 and C7 feature 8MP cameras and the ability to record 720p video.
All three models are expected to retail before the end of 2010.
