The British Armed Forces’ army bomb disposal unit had to be sent to a children’s Easter egg hunt, as a child found a live grenade during his adventures.
There’s nothing better than taking the kids on an Easter egg hunt. They do all the hard work and you can enjoy a nice stroll and a bit of chocolate when they’re not looking.
However, you might want to keep an extra eye out the next time you go hunting as a child in the UK was found playing with a World War II era hand grenade that he thought was an egg.
The event was being held at Holford, Somerset and it was only when one eagle eyed father noticed something odd that the alarm was raised, reports the Daily Mail.
“We were beginning to count up the eggs at the end of the hunt and I saw a boy of three standing on an object,” said Stuart Moffatt to the local paper. “It was brown and about 4 inches high. It looked like an Easter egg, but it was a hand grenade – I was shocked. The boy who was standing on it thought it was a rock.”
So maybe you should think twice before you sink your teeth into one of your kids Easter eggs. They may have slipped you the live one on the sly.
