David O’Leary is back in management after four years in the wilderness having taken charge of Dubai club Al Ahli.
O’Leary parted company with Aston Villa in the summer of 2006 after three years in charge at Villa Park.
The former Leeds United boss has been linked with a number of clubs during the intervening period but his return to the dug-out in the United Arab Emirates comes as a massive surprise.
O’Leary has agreed a three-year contract at Al-Ahli, which is regarded as one of the richest clubs in the Middle East.
The Dubai outfit recently completed the signing of veteran Italian World Cup-winning captain Fabio Cannavaro.
