Manny Pacquiao has cranked up the possibility of a fight with Floyd Mayweather by stating he would be willing to take blood tests.
The current WBO World welterweight champion Pacquiao has previously refused to undergo drug testing to satisfy Mayweather’s demands.
“I have agreed to it, but they should not draw much blood,” Pacquiao said. “They should only take what is necessary for the drug test.”
“He (Mayweather) will no longer have a reason (not to fight),” added the world champion. “Let’s see if that is really the reason.”
The ball is now firmly in Mayweather’s court and the prospect of the richest fight in the sport’s history is a mouthwatering one for all boxing enthusiasts.
According to chief financial adviser Michael Koncz, the fight could go ahead on 6 November or 13 November this year in either Las Vegas or Dallas.
Pacquiao hit the headlines two weeks ago when he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives in the Philippine Congress.
