Frederic Piquionne is completing a medical at Upton Park ahead of his move to the Hammers according to reports.
Piquionne impressed for Portsmouth last season, finding the net eleven times despite the Fratton Park club’s relegation.
The 31-year-old New Caledonian, who earned a cap for France in 2007, is expected to sign a three year contract.
The Lyon striker was also linked to Fulham, West Brom and Blackburn Rovers.
