An irate priest branded the Archbishop of Canterbury a “wa**er” for his views on gay marriage on a Facebook post and needless to say it has caused a bit of a fuss.
Marcus Randshaw took to a bit of name calling after the Archbishop warned that Britain’s Marriage Bill “abolish” the traditional institution of marriage, the “cornerstone” of society.
Now he won’t be the last person to take to social media, but the choice of language has taken many aback, with Randshaw not pulling any punches over his views on the Archbishop.
The Director of Communications for the Church of England – we didn’t know such a role existed either – has described the verbal fisticuffs as “outrageous” while others have condemned the comments also.
There’s no denying he has made a holy mess for himself, though in fairness to Randshaw he has apologised for his actions.
