In a story that would seem almost unthinkable this time last year, it has emerged that some of Europe’s top clubs are interested in signing Spurs defender-cum-winger Gareth Bale.
According to Itasportpress, Bale’s excellent performances for Tottenham at the start of this season and the tail end of last season have attracted the interest of Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan and also Real Madrid, whose manager, José Mourinho, is said to be a big fan of the 21-year old Welsh international.
All four clubs are said to be weighing up substantial bids for Bale in January, but the player recently signed a four-year contract extension at White Hart Lane and Spurs would be loathe to lose one of their prized assets.
Bale has already scored two goals in four Premier League appearances for Harry Redknapp’s side this season.
