The first ever Bavaria City Racing event will take place in Dublin next weekend and you won’t want to miss a second of it, so that’s why you should check out the performance zones.

Seeing a Formula 1 car on the streets of Dublin is something we haven’t seen for a long time, and for some of us it’s something we’ve never seen before. But thankfully, our mates at Bavaria are bringing some to Dublin next weekend for the Bavaria City Racing event.

More than 100,000 racing enthusiasts are expected to gather at this event (which is 96 per cent free) for a spectacular afternoon with Formula 1 cars, rally cars, Indy Cars, Formula 2s, drifters and Superbikes all making an appearance.

Can you imagine what Dublin city will look like with 100,000 people squashed into it? If you’re a fan of your comfort or if you want to make sure Lanky Larry doesn’t get in your way, then you’d want to buy a ticket for the paid performance zones while you still can.

The cars and bikes will follow a track that twists and turns through key landmarks from the Convention Centre and back. The route will follow Custom House Quay, travelling across Butt Bridge and onto D’Olier Street, around College Green, passing Trinity College Dublin, turning in front of Central Bank then onto Westmoreland Street and back over O’Connell Bridge before travelling along the quays and returning to the main paddock at the Conference Centre.

So there’s some great vantage points to choose from. But like we said, if comfort and a fist class view is what you’re after then the ticketed performance zone on Custom House Quay or the F1 paddocks is what you want.

A spectator zone will also be on O’Connell Bridge (pictured above), but that one has already sold out after a seriously high demand.

With the performance zones, not only do you get the best seats in the house, you also get much closer to the cars than any other Joe Soap standing on the street.

There’s barely a week left until the event and no doubt the final tickets will be snapped up quick. So to make sure you get your seat for the Bavaria City Racing Dublin event, head over to their website here.

Bavaria City Racing comes to Dublin on June 3. The event is FREE to attend, but fans who want to get that bit closer to the action can avail of tickets to the premium performance zones.
