Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery has lost his appeal to UEFA against his three game ban, which means he will miss the Champions League final against Inter Milan on May 22.
But now Bayern have now decided to take their case to the Court of Arbitration for sport, and are determined to fight the ban as much as they can.
Ribery received a straight red card in Bayern’s semi-final first leg win over Lyon for his challenge on Lisandro.
It was initially assumed the Frenchman would only miss the return leg before UEFA’s disciplinary body decided on the three game suspension.
As a result Bayern were outraged and launched the appeal and have now decided to take the extra steps in a desperate last-ditch attempt to have Ribery available.
