Here’s a terrifying sight… Police are currently investigating the images below which show a man driving at speed into oncoming traffic.
To watch the video you may need to log into YouTube as embedding has been restricted, but that’s only because the cameraman uses some very NSFW language. It’s not hard to see why.
The start of the video shows the ‘camera car’ – as we’re going to call it – as it attempts to catch up with the crazed driver who’s barrelling down the wrong side of a dual carriage way on the A726 by Newton Mearns, near Glasgow.
As the camera car play catch up, the crazed driver in the Renault Clio has a near miss with a two cars and a van. Also, the driver of the Clio can be seen swerving from lane to lane as he tries to avoid oncoming cars. In the image below you can see how the Clio driver forces another driver off onto the grass at the side of the road.
The police are still investigating the incident so it’s still a bit too soon to start making comments on the driver’s state of mind. But one thing is for sure, if this guy was on a suicide mission, there was no need to endanger other people. Talk about selfish.
Thankfully no-one was killed or even injured in the joy ride but it just goes to show, you should always expect the unexpected on the roads.
